Chase The Happy Horse

Chase, The Happy Horse is part of a series of children's stories that are inspired by the larger than life personalities of real Mackinac Island working horses. Geoffrey Bassett is a year round resident, horse driver, and tour guide on Mackinac Island. In this story, Chase notices his friend, Pearl, feeling sad. Chase and Pearl demonstrated the importance of friendship, especially on days when you are feeling sad. Turns out, exploring the island and horsing around is exactly what Pearl needed. Geoffrey Bassett is also an advocate and supporter of children equine programs that focus on positive childhood development. Geoff believes that horses are a uniquely intuitive and intelligent animal that magnify creative ideas and everyone should have opportunity to appreciate their beauty.
