CUENTOS POR MIS ESTUDIANTES (Stories for my Students) is a collection of short stories in Spanish. Reading is the best way to increase fluency and add to your Spanish vocabulary. The stories in this collection center around Carmen, a 16 year old girl, and her family. Throughout the collection Carmen and her adorable new puppy find themselves in various settings, including a trip to the park, a family reunion, & an anniversary party. Each story is followed by activities and fun puzzles to practice the vocabulary and test reading comprehension skills.
CUENTOS POR MIS ESTUDIANTES was written by a Spanish teacher with 28 years of teaching experience. The stories carefully incorporate important Spanish I and II vocabulary while teaching new vocabulary and verbs. An extensive grammar section in the back of the book provides practice with regular, irregular, stem-changing, & reflexive verbs and is followed by a complete dictionary. Students enjoy reading these stories in small groups in class, but they are also perfect for practice on your own. The stories are written almost entirely in the present tense, making this book perfect for Spanish II and above. Upper level students and adults enjoy reading the stories for practice.
