As the inhabitant of an imperial power, addicted to militarism and capitalism, it is my belief that no land or people, regardless of wealth or race, are safe. For such reason, silence, fear and invisibility should no longer be the norm, or sociopolitical dictate, for the benefactors of global exploitation-citizens of the First World. It is through the process of acceptance that we, as individuals within the collective, are empowered to transcend and cultivate a sphere of transformation. The elevation and expansion of consciousness, synthesized by the disidentification and depersonalization of historically identity based trauma, will sustain the conservation of vital life energies.Of the many strands of oppression, the most acute form is that which is internalized.
