ELIO2. The little sentient robot and his crewmates follow a historic trail to a very inhospitable world. But that world holds many secrets as well as dangers. Elio's long history of surveillance gives him a good chance of success but he is bound by old promises to an ancient people. He must walk a fine line between loyalty to a long-lost people and loyalty to his new crew. Just visiting the planet could be considered a violation of trust.
Worse yet back at the home office there is political strife over Elio's status as a crewmember. Can Elio become a full-fledged citizen in order to not be considered an archeological find, and thus property? People on both sides of the argument are heated up and violence is pending. Can Elio fight for himself while still protecting those around him? This will test his loyalties on the basest of levels.
