Escape from ISIS

Rob Delodge is a brilliant and handsome young man who has everything one could wish for, except for the most important thing: contentment. Seeking meaning in life, the disillusioned Harvard grad has various adventures and tries numerous philosophies, only to end up in a dangerous situation when he becomes a prisoner of ISIS terrorists. Rob's Escape from ISIS becomes a matter of cunning and luck. After he gets away, he finds himself in another world and has no clue to its meaning. Being a youth of today, however, where is meaning?

Thomas E. Berry, PhD, is a retired professor of Russian language and literature. He still teaches a course at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, and lectures at the Smithsonian Institution and the Russian Cultural Center of the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C. He wrote this story to show that there are still heroes who "are patriotic and valiant."
