This book is concerned with the application of academic philosophy to some of the issues that religion presents, showing how philosophical methods and theories have been used to interpret or understand religious belief and practice. It introduces the reader to some of the basic problems provoked by the religious ideas of Christianity and Judaism, centring upon their concept of God. it investigates some methods of dealing with some of these problems. Furthermore, it examines the various description and, or definitions of religion by different sciences and discusses the relationship between religion and metaphysics, faith and reason and examines modern empiricist approach to religious thoughts.
