Fall of the Sparrow

I'm not sure there are any other books like it. The time between the time of the last crusade and the discovery of the New World is somewhat of a dead spot in history. This story is set in that time period.
This story takes the reader back to 14th century England and sets him-her down there during the time of the 100 Year War in a time of political turmoil and upheaval when little value was placed on human life. A time of brother against brother, father against son. That time in history when chivalry was becoming a thing of the past. When political intrigue and lawlessness assured that no man was safe, not even the king.
