Fighting With Feather Monsters

The story "Fight With Feather Monsters" narrates Sooraj's fear of feathers. This two and a half year old is terrified of them from the moment he saw them for the first time. Despite his parents and grandmother trying to reason with him, his fear has only grown. He is unable to play, sleep or go about his day to day life. This changes when he decides to take matters into his hands, quite literally! Sooraj faces his fears and gets to know his nightmare up-close.An underlying message is that a lot of human conflict arises from our fear of the unfamiliar or fear of the unknown. Once we assume they are vile, we don't see anything but danger. However, some times we too can make an effort to take a look without fear and connect without judgement. And that becomes the step towards finding new friends and keeping them for life.
