Jam Bakery Pastry Chef, Isabelle Becker has a choice to make; move with her parents to Florida or stay in Fulton River, Vermont. Either way, her parent's house where she lives, is going to be sold out from under her feet. As the deadline for her decision rapidly approaches, she becomes reacquainted with an old high school friend, Gilbert Darrow. But it's cuffing season and his interest increases her anxiety that he's just another guy intent on finding someone only for the holidays.
Working on a project to repair the woodwork in St. Brigid's Church, Gilbert Darrow is struggling to keep his furniture design and woodworking business afloat. He's pleasantly surprised to find Isabelle working at Jam Bakery. Catching up with the fair-haired beauty rekindles the crush he had toward her all through grammar, junior-high and high school. When he's offered a six-month renovation project with a six figure salary in New York, he's torn between continuing his relationship with Isabelle or set his business on a solid financial footing.
As feelings grow between the former classmates, Isabelle's anxiety over her choice escalates. Can she trust Gilbert will not bolt when cuffing season is over?
