    There has been exponential growth in the number of nanoporous framework materials reported in the scientific literature over recent years, with thousands of new metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), molecular framework materials, inorganic framework materials, and supramolecular frameworks.
