  • - Drawing From the Wells of Salvation
    av Pastor Randy Adams
    247

"Take a scriptural and historical adventure with Pastor Randy Adams as he explores the lyrics of the hymn Blessed Assurance, considered by many one of the greatest hymns ever composed. Be inspired by the life and devotion to God of Fanny Crosby, blind from early childhood, who wrote over 8000 hymns. Walk with Pastor Randy as he relates the lyrics of this hymn to his own Christian experience and growth. Written to bring modern day believers the same joy of assurance that Fanny Crosby experienced, this work has as its basic purpose reminding Christians who God is and who they are in Christ, and to banish from their hearts and minds all doubt and fear in their daily walk with Jesus. This book will challenge you to know and apply Scripture to your life just as Fanny Crosby did. Enjoy Pastor Randy's anecdotes from his own life and walk, and take the opportunity to be enriched in your journey with Christ or to come to know Him in a deeper and more meaningful way." Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Pastor Randy Adams came to faith in Christ in 1982 after meeting and marrying his wife Rosalie. Together they gained a heart for world missions during the 1990's, and briefly participated in missions work in Brazil. Since 2005 Randy and Rosalie have together pastored Streams in the Desert Praise Chapel in Desert Hot Springs, California, where they currently live and serve God.

  • - Passing on Stories of Faith
    av Ruth I Christenson
    181

How have the lives of people in your past, inspired lives of faith in your family today? Are there stories you share with family and friends, that demonstrate the loving care of God? This book is a collection of memories that my children requested to have put in writing so that they will not forget. I hope you, too, will be prompted to preserve your family's stories, for the benefit of your own children and grandchildren. Included in this book are principles for living lives of faith, and some parenting suggestions that come from multiple sources. These were also requested by my adult kids. Several are now parents themselves. They find themselves using phrases they remember from our home. Now they want some explanation of their origins and application. I have tried to honor the memory and examples of those who lived before us. This book is also meant to challenge this generation to intentionally invest in the spiritual lives of their children, in order to raise the next generation who will know and live for God. These spiritual investments will become the legacy of faith God asks us to leave. Psalm 145:4 says, "One generation will praise Your works to another, and will declare Your mighty acts." May our faith stories collectively bring much glory to God. Ruth Christenson is a pastor's wife and mother of seven children. She grew up in Brooklyn, New York, where she lived until she graduated college. Ruth spent 27 years as a homeschool mom. She has frequently been asked to share principles of discipleship and parenting to help other parents lead their children to know and love God. Ruth manages a Book and Gift Store at a Christian Conference Center. When free to travel, she loves to spend time with her kids and grandchildren.

With real-life events, moments of self-discovery and spiritual growth, and testaments of God's amazing grace and restoration, When the Lord Carried Me: Marriage and Life After My Husband Said, "I Am Gay" inspires readers to put their faith in the everlasting love of Christ, no matter what circumstances they may face. Never did I once see what God wanted for me until the third and final time God saved my life. But one thing I can tell you is that my life was not the average man's life. I can tell you that if it had not been for A God of Mercy and Grace, being in my life, I would not be here today telling my story to the world. So to anyone out there who reads this book and feels like no one loves or cares about me. And he or she is an outcast or thinks, "why am I here on this Earth." just know that it took me 38 years to find out what my purpose was. Listen, we are all here for God's purpose and not our own. And that nothing i mean absolutely nothing happens in God's World by mistake. But most of all we have a right to be here. So to those of you who still believe that there is not a God, why am I here. Man could not do it, Scientist could not do it, But God could and would if he was sought. I am a Man of God; I have 4 grown children and eight wonderful grandchildren; I am engaged to a wonderful woman of God I am an advocate for Alcoholics Anonymous; I am also a Chess player and instructor. I have also taken a couple of classes, a speech class and a psychology class. I also have gotten my associates in social work from Kennedy King's College. I have also done some public speaking, my psychology classes have enhanced my outlook on humanity. Today I pray and read my Word daily, I now understand my God given purpose, and to hopefully help someone and to change lives.

Julius Caesar has come and gone. The statues of Alexander can be seen in the neglected corners of ancient museums. Napoleon is sleeping on the tattered pages of history books. The embalmed corpses of Mao and Lenin are still preserved in their respective mausoleums as a testimony to the millions of souls massacred during communist insurrections. St. Joseph, the simple carpenter from Judea, lives on as a beacon of hope even in this post-COVID madness called "The New Normal." Beauty lies dormant, marinated with faith and hope, in the simple elegance of family life. That is the silent message of Joseph amidst the dictatorship of unhinged noise. It is my hope that St. Joseph would guide us during the bleakest nights infested with nightmares, and take us to Jesus, our eternal anchor. I created this rhapsody for Joseph when my pen hit the papyrus over a period of five years. It is my hope that this "widow's mite" may be a pleasing offering to St. Joseph in the cosmic coffers of endless time. With this thought in mind, I place my pen at the feet of St. Joseph in the year of Our Lord 2021, which the Pope has declared as the year of St. Joseph.

  • - God behind the seen in the book of Ruth
    av Tommy Vinson
    247

The Romance of Redemption is a love story about how God turns tragedy into triumph. Set in the brief Old Testament book of Ruth, it is an inspiring account of how God is actively working behind the scenes to accomplish His designs and purposes. The human love story between Ruth and Boaz is but a picture of a greater love story between God and His people. It leaves us with great confidence that if God would go to such lengths to fulfill His purposes in the past, we can certainly trust Him with our future. Tommy Vinson pastored churches for forty-seven years in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Florida before retiring from the active pastorate. He then formed Tommy Vinson Ministries, a nonprofit ministry focusing on international pastor training and support. Covid-19 has largely interrupted TVM's six years of ministry; but it remains active to a limited degree and will resume full operation once the pandemic is over. For the past three years he has served as interim preacher for several Memphis-area churches including Kirby Woods Baptist, Hernando Baptist, The Point in Hernando, and Germantown Baptist.

  • - It's Never Too Late (And They're Never Too Old) To Reach Your Children with the Gospel!
    av Ej Richards
    247

I was sitting in church one Sunday, reflecting on statements that were spoken by the pastor about his life and his walk with God. In telling of his relationship with the Lord, it was clear that he had been blessed with knowing Jesus most of his life. He raised two sons in the church; they''ve started lives of their own and have blessed the pastor with grandchildren. I was struck by the contrast between his life and the lives of those of us who did not have that experience. In fact, some of us have traveled roads that greatly deviate from the path of this pastor. I write this book for all the Prodigal Parents and their children. Many parents have squandered opportunities, and it is only later in life that we realize the most important things we could have taught our children. The world is filled with men and women who would love to have the opportunity to do it over again regarding how they communicated Christ-if they even communicated Christ to their children. The book goes straight to what is important. It emphasizes the urgency of knowing Jesus Christ as Lord and makes no apologies for imploring the reader to know Jesus. Why wouldn''t the book take that path? As one who once was blind but now can see, it only makes sense that a parent who has now been enlightened would tirelessly and ceaselessly communicate the goodness of God, the need of the Savior, and the way of salvation. "It is never too late!" The Prodigal Parent will help many adult Christians tell their sons and daughters (and grandchildren, nieces, and nephews) what they wish they would have said when the children were still under their roofs. In some cases, parents may still have that opportunity.

What is faith? It is a question that some wonder and many find hard to verbalize into a clear definition. However, believing what you can''t see is the catalyst for trusting in God and agreeing with His will for your life. Author Karman Coffee takes a closer look into faith through the new book, On the Other Side of Faith: Where Faith Meets Stupidity, which shows what faith is and what faith is not. Desiring for readers to plant for their faith harvests, Karman offers straightforward thoughts on faith, God in the midst of trials, being thankful for blessings and the importance of spending time with Jesus. Faith requires waiting on God''s direction and practicing obedience to God, even when enduring difficult circumstances. As we find hope in Jesus Christ, our faith will be freed from deception and we will feel God''s spiritual guidance to build substantial, lasting faith.

The Pharisees Are Coming to Jesus: Secret Believers in Israel and America reveals how the Holy Spirit is removing the scales from the eyes of Orthodox Jews, the descendants of the Pharisees who opposed Jesus 2,000 years ago.In Israel today, Orthodox and Chasidic Jews meet privately as believers in Yeshua (Jesus) during the week but return to their usual synagogues on the Sabbath, waiting for the others to be inspired by the Holy Spirit. They are replicating the first Jewish believers in Jerusalem, who met secretly to worship Yeshua but continued to visit the Temple daily. After all, why would a Jew who has found Jesus to be the Messiah leave the Judaism that Jesus practiced? After revealing this, the author goes on to explore concepts in Judaism that were suppressed by the First Century rabbis as sounding too Christian. He then identifies these Christian truths hidden in Judaism by critically reviewing the biblical teachings of world-renowned Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch, who often sounds like a Spirit-filled evangelist whose eyes have been opened."Anthony Cardinale is a gifted journalist and author who has immersed himself for over 30 years in a move of God that is for the most part unknown to most Christians. I''m referring to a promise God made throughout the Scriptures to restore the Jewish People to Himself at a set time in history (Jeremiah 3l:33-34). Anthony is on the forefront of this revival. This, his third book, follows The Red Heifer: A Jewish Cry for Messiah, and The Revolt of Rabbi Morris Cohen."- RABBI JONATHAN BERNIS,President, Jewish Voice Ministries, International. ANTHONY CARDINALE is an award-winning Christian Zionist who began writing about Israel and the Jewish people long before discovering his own Jewish bloodlines. A member of the National Association of Scholars, he was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize three times during his years as a reporter with the Buffalo News. He has written for Messianic Times, Jewish Voice Today, Charisma and Ministries magazines, as well as the Orthodox weekly Yated Ne''eman. He also brings to his writings his dramatic touch as an award-winning playwright.

Most people say change is a part of life. There are many things we experience throughout our lifetime which cause us to change direction. We may start a new romance which changes the direction our single life was taking us. Or we might find ourselves enduring a traumatic experience, also changing the direction life had us on. Some changes are for good, and some changes leave us forking money over to a really good therapist. That would be the kind of change you''ll read about in The Impossible Change: Lesbian to Missionary. Priscilla Navaroli spent the majority of her life running. Running everywhere and to everything. Except to God, that is. There was no way in this chaotic life that she was living that she wanted anything to do with this God of the hypocrites. They could have their judgment, and they could keep their God. This is a story of the change which took place in her life. A change that nobody, not even the person living it out, saw coming. An impossible, almost unbelievable change that happened in one woman''s life through the power of God. Priscilla Navaroli was born and raised in California. She currently lives in Texas and is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. She is also a former pastor at Lone Star Cowboy Church in Montgomery, Texas, where she spent five years on staff. After her husband''s death, she retreated to country living and enjoys life out in her home she calls ''The Shack.'' She has three cats and two dogs that bring her so much pleasure. A life that will soon be changing as she heads out to embark on missionary work in the Dominican Republic. Priscilla is a fully appointed missionary with the Assemblies of God World Missions. This book happened because one day in 1970 my mother began saying a poem to me. I told her to stop and I ran to get a tape recorder. Next came the poem, "Did You Ever?" exactly as it is in the book. From that point on I recorded as Mom told me more of her life story as a young girl and she also spoke, "My Father''s Gallery" as it is printed in the book. It also recounts how mom and I were born again in 1972 in Socorro, New Mexico. Mary Ellen DeRyke Bendele was born in 1926 in Portland, Oregon. She lived in Douglas county and she had three sisters. She was a housewife and mother to eight boys and one girl. Her father was an artist who painted many paintings and even painted cathedrals. She was raised Roman Catholic much of her life and was born again with her son Paul in 1972. She loved to paint pictures in words as can be seen in the poems in this book.
