Fundamenta nova theoriae functionum ellipticarum

Carl Gustav Jacob Jacobi (1804-51) was one of the nineteenth century's greatest mathematicians. This important and pioneering work in Latin on the theory of elliptic functions was first published in 1829. It remains of relevance in the history of mathematics.
