Geomechanics in Soil, Rock, and Environmental Engineering

Modern practice in geomechanics involves the use of numerical modelling and the internet. These numerical techniques can be applied not only to soil mechanics, but also to rock mechanics and environmental engineering. This textbook covers modern analysis of shallow foundations, deep foundations, retaining structures and excavation and tunneling; and additionally municipal and mining waste and solutions for the disposal and containment of waste.
