Diedre "DeeDee" Olsen was an average fourteen-year-old tomboy until she suffered a harrowing accident while playing summer softball. The head trauma she sustained leads to unimaginable consequences that flip her ordinary world upside down.
DeeDee's no longer your typical, ordinary teen. Her head injury left her with the ability to see and communicate with the dead. Most of the spirits simply request her assistance by asking her to deliver messages of hope to grieving loved ones they left behind. After a popular high school senior goes missing on Homecoming night, DeeDee inadvertently gets involved in the investigation when the girl's spirit appears to her with a special request and reveals information about her murder that no one else knows. Except for the killer.
When he learns about DeeDee's supernatural abilities, and that she's assisting the local police department to solve the crime, she becomes his next target.
Determined to prevent her from revealing what she knows about him, he makes it his mission to keep her quiet. Even if it means killing again.
