Om Heterodoxy on the Internet
The technology we have in our times has given us the ability to satisfy our yearning for admiration and recognition. It's true, we may not all be Napoleon with a mausoleum marking our greatness, but we can all have a Facebook wall, a Twitter profile or an Instagram account... most importantly, dozens, hundreds or thousands of followers.That's where this phenomenon called Influencers begins. They are opinion leaders, they have a presence in our lives at different times and to different degrees. However, they are not all the same, that is where this essay appears reflecting on the sociocultural profile of the unconventional Influencer, a concept proposed here to explain the phenomenon of certain figures of the Mexican social networks (with presence in Spanish-speaking countries). This profile is based on the concepts: the bald, the naco, kitsch aesthetics and covert narcissism.
