How Can They Hear Without a Preacher

For individuals questioning their sexuality the stress and worry are significant. If those individuals are also believers in Jesus Christ and active in their church, they face another set of concerns. This autobiography is about how I came to believe in Jesus Christ and how that faith impacted my journey. I am sharing my journey toward understanding my sexuality and navigating the complexity of a society in turmoil over homosexuality and a religion hostile to homosexuality. This is a journey of reconciling my faith in Jesus Christ with the message by some churches that homosexuality is wrong in hopes that those who read this come to accept Jesus as your Savior or those who have already accepted Jesus as your Savior come to understand that God loves you just as you are. My journey is one of love, heartache, discovery, and personal acceptance in the face of many friends, family, and colleagues who told me I was wrong when I shared with them my belief that I was gay and who then walked away despite learning only one additional fact about me that they hadn't known or admitted to themselves the day before. I have learned the truth through my journey, and the truth has set me free.
