Om Hydroelectricity from the Nineteenth Century to the Present Time
Early activity in hydroelectricity is fairly comprehensively described in the first chapter. That is followed by six chapters which cover hydroelectricity generation on a country by country basis. There is a good deal of physical geography, for example the effects of sustained hydroelectricity production on river width. Carbon mitigation benefits of hydroelectricity generation are given their due place in the compilation and discussion. The author expects that the book will have appeal to experts, synthesising as it does information and data for hydroelectricity around the world over a period exceeding a century. It is also suitable for teaching both at Baccalaureate and Master's level, not least because the calculations are suitable for adaptation into student
exercises.
