Representation in books matters. I have spent the past five years writing books especially for children so that they can fall in love with books just as I did so many years ago but more importantly, to see themselves. I have had specific requests for representation of different cultures, backgrounds and families but find a way to come together and create a family that is unique, filled with laughter, love and safety.
