About The AuthorCorrine Hardison is retired and lives in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Ms. Hardison was born in Widener, Arkansas, and graduated from high school in Caruthersville, Missouri. Her interest in science and life-long pursuit of learning led her to choose the engineering field, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Chicago, and a master's in engineering management from the University of Wisconsin. After retiring, she pursued a second career as a freelance science and engineering technology editor and voice narrator. She enjoys reading, writing, and performing community service through her membership in the National Council of Negro Women, Stafford-Fredericksburg Section. Ms. Hardison is also a volunteer reader for Virginia Voice, a non-profit organization providing audio access to individuals with blindness, vision impairment, and other disabilities.
