Om jmww (2013-2022): A Modern Times Anthology
Founded in 2002, jmww is a weekly online journal of writing-publishing the best in poetry, fiction, flash fiction, essays, and interviews. Stories published in the journal have appeared in Best American Essays, Best Small Fictions, Wigleaf Top 50, BIFFY, Best of the Net, and the VERA. The journal has also released six print anthologies and three hand-assembled poetry chapbook contest winners. This anthology picks up where the last one left off-with works from 2013 and onward picked and voted on by present and former jmww editors. About the editor: Jen Michalski is the author of three novels, The Tide King and The Summer She Was Under Water (both Black Lawrence Press) and You'll Be Fine (NineStar Press), a couplet of novellas, Could You Be With Her Now (Dzanc Books), and three collections of short fiction (The Company of Strangers, From Here, and Close Encounters). Her work has appeared in more than 100 publications, including Poets & Writers, The Washington Post, Writer's Digest, Lit Hub, and more, and she's been nominated for the Pushcart Prize seven times. She lives in Southern California but will always be a Baltimore girl at heart.
