In the oceanside kingdom of Hydlix, an arranged marriage to the sniveling, pink-haired Prince Hayden of Zayloa hangs over the head of Trinity Ikena, a plucky teenage princess with superhuman strength capable of tower-breaking, armor-piercing punches. Her adoptive family wants her to settle down and secure alliances in the hopes of preventing another invasion from the Samboolian warlord who killed Trinity's parents and devastated her birth kingdom of Terkia. Trinity, however, is nobody's maiden to wed. Trained in secret by the former knight commander, Trinity wishes to rise above her role as a daughter of the realm and fight to protect the only home she's ever known. But strange and sinister things are happening all over Hydlix. Trinity's mentor starts to avoid her without reason. One of the knights she thought she could trust begins sending her dangerous mixed messages. Samboolian refugees flood the beaches, selling bizarre flowers that make Trinity sick to her stomach. And an attempt to steal the crown has Trinity facing off against owl-riding bandits. Trinity's aunt is hiding something also--a secret about the night Trinity was born that changes everything. For a girl strong enough to change the tides in the ocean, will Trinity be able to control the tides of her destiny?
