Multiscale Biomechanics: Theory and Applications comprehensively covers the theoretical and computational bases of multiscale methods in biomechanical applications. Then, the most appropriate multiscale techniques are examined with detailed implementation. Several practical multiscale biomechanical simulations are presented to demonstrate the practical applicability of proposed multiscale methods for analysis of bio-systems. A number of advanced topics, including simulation of tissue engineering, artificial organs, drug delivery systems and a number of other advanced topics are considered, to demonstrate the future trends in computational biomechanics. A sample MATLAB multiscale biomechanics code is also provided on a companion website to allow the reader to better follow the complex multiscale methodologies.
