When human Ezekiel is discovered meandering the Elflands, the punishment for such an infringement between the species is certain death. Frantically he lies to the mythical beings about his true intentions and reasons for being in the Elflands in the hope they will spare his life.
Mythical being Jenilia has zero faith in the human she meets named Ezekiel, not simply because he is human but because he speaks the language of man. In this language, lying is easy, but it is impossible in Elvish, her native tongue.
