Esta obra de teatro cuenta la historia de un hombre que busca venganza contra su hermano, quien ha robado su novia. Pero las cosas no son lo que parecen y la verdad es más complicada de lo que él esperaba. Esta obra está inspirada en una obra francesa y es un ejemplo de la influencia de la cultura francesa en la literatura española del siglo XIX.
