Om One year in a life
This is the story of Betty, not an astonishing or extraordinary lady by any means; however, she, like millions of mothers around the world, is special to me, her son. This is a story of a normal person, living the last year of her life, with an all too common terminal illness. We all read, watch or hear about amazing stories of soul searching, fighting against adversity and bravery; however, this will be (I think) a story of normality. I wrote this journal /book as a cathartic process whilst struggling with the small irritations of life. Some may call it a mid-life crisis but I call it observations, distractions and rants about the small insignificant things in life, whilst all the time my mum is living with cancer.
