Pamitniki, 1831-1838

These memoirs by Ignacio Domeyko offer a first-hand account of the Polish uprising of 1830-31 and its aftermath. Domeyko, a naturalist and educator, was involved in the resistance movement and was later forced into exile. His memoirs provide a detailed picture of life in pre- and post-revolutionary Poland.
