Pieces of Japan

From an encounter with a medieval priest, to a near-death experience on a motorcycle trip in the snow; from supper with a powerful yakuza gangster, to a bit part in a film with a famous Hollywood movie star; from an excruciatingly embarrassing consultation with a female doctor, to a night with an anonymous soft porn actress; from an all-night 350-mile ride across Japan astride a 180mph two-wheel Ferrari, to the loss of a Romanian friend. These and twenty-five other assorted tales go to make up Pieces of Japan - a collection of adventures and misadventures, incidents and accidents that befell freelance writer Steve Gamblin during his fifteen-year sojourn in Japan. All the stories are true - only a few of the names have been changed to protect the guilty.
