This is a historical novel spanning the entire twentieth century. The writer has blended the life of one man and his family with events which occur concurrently. History affects all our lives, and this book focuses on how one particular family fared in the face of world events. The story commences in South Africa, spreads through neighbouring countries and the United States before returning to South Africa. A nation divided wreaks havoc upon its people as the steam-roller of history rumbles by like a whirlwind.
