Om Riverine Children and Science Teaching in the Amazon
The work I'm presenting to you is about the children of the Aninga community in Parintins, Amazonas. Aninga has an immeasurable wealth of natural, cultural and social diversity. It is against this backdrop that the author sets herself the challenge, as a researcher with children, of a proposal that values the participation of riverside children through their experiences, encounters with nature and their ways of transposing spaces in the construction of new places. In fact, this work consists of a real listening to children's voices, in which the researcher tries to show that: children connected with nature "project" the green of the Amazon and teach us the importance of listening to their voices, in an attempt to change the adult-centred paradigm towards an understanding of children as producers of culture, while also highlighting the formation of science knowledge among children in a rural school. We are pleased to be launching this book, as we are convinced that it represents an enriching contribution to the needs of children and childhoods lived in different ways. For this reason, it is an essential project for education.
