Om Shab e Rafta
Majeed Amjad's initial collection of poetry, "Shab e Rafta," was published in 1958, accompanied by a preface in verse penned by the poet himself. This collection was published by Naya Idara in Lahore and stands as the sole publication during his lifetime, despite his consistent writing throughout his years. This edition of the book faithfully revives the original publication, preserving it in its exact form as it was initially presented. Following Amjad's passing, the manuscripts of his unpublished poetry were safeguarded by Javaid Qureshi, who served as the deputy commissioner of Sahiwal at the time. In 1976, Javaid Qureshi and others released a second collection of Amjad's poetry under the title "Shab e Rafta Ke Baad." It wasn't until 1989 that Urdu critic Khawaja Muhammad Zakariya undertook the task of editing and publishing a comprehensive collection of Amjad's works, titled "Kuliyat e Majeed Amjad."
