Om Silent Watcher
Brain injured at three months of age by his violent father, Billy's life hasn't been easy. He's bright, attentive, and can see, and hear. He just can't talk. His doctors call his condition Broca's Aphasia. His father is in prison for what he did. Billy's mom has taught him sign language and has home-schooled him all of his life. At fifteen, Billy is pushing the limits of what his mom can teach him at home. Billy's stepfather has never had much to do with him. Much worse, his mom is terminally ill. Billy will soon be alone and faces a number of unacceptable choices. Which choices will he make and what effect will they have on the rest of his life?
