Snakes in the Grass

In the basement beneath his successful hospital in Britania, Brazil, Dr. Roberto Noqueira and his trusted employee, Ramon, harvest venom from the world's deadliest snakes. Their lucrative side-business selling the venom worldwide supports Dr. Noqueira's true vocation of helping heal the people of Britania.
When Dr. Noqueira is brutally murdered, Ramon dismantles the lab and begins to plan his revenge. Raised in the jungle, Ramon has stealth skills unlike his adversaries. As he methodically takes his vengeance, he leaves a brutal, bloody path of destruction-and sets into motion the consequences that will follow.
Escaping to Rio de Janeiro, Ramon finds he must start over, but doing so will not be easy. Pursued by those who want both his expertise in snake handling and the vast wealth he inherited from Dr. Noqueira, Ramon himself seeks a path to redemption. To find his way, he must guard his secrets carefully, navigate a corrupt government bureaucracy, and thwart a conspiracy that placed a toxic weapon of mass destruction into the wrong hands. Ultimately, Ramon faces two enemies who share the same goal of domination. He must find and eliminate the toxic substance, while simultaneously helping rebuild the town he single-handedly destroyed.
