Within White Tiger Ridge dwelled a demon known as White Bone Demoness. In her quest to consume Tang Sanzang's flesh, she transformed into various disguises, including a village girl, a woman, and an old man. However, Sun Wukong saw through each of her deceptions, causing the White Bone Demoness to flee in fear, disguised as a gust of wind. Sun Wukong, believing the village girl and woman to be illusions, defeated them both. However, Tang Sanzang, unable to discern between human and demon, accused Sun Wukong of indiscriminate killing, violating Buddhist precepts. In their third encounter, the White Bone Demoness transformed into a white-haired old man, only to be exposed and defeated by Sun Wukong once again. Tang Sanzang wrote a letter of condemnation, banishing Sun Wukong back to Flower Fruit Mountain.
