Taking Care of Mama With Grace and Grit is the story of a four-year journey two sisters take with their very independent mother after her successful cancer surgery at age ninety but failure to "bounce back" to her former self. Sisters Ruby and Rita, born a decade apart in a family of four children, felt they were raised by different mothers. Elder sister felt neglected and unloved by her mother whereas younger sister was loved and treasured by all. How can Ruby find the grace and grit to take care of a mother whom she felt had never cared for her?
