In the heart of Kingston, a moving picture company comes to stay at the Myrtle Bank Hotel. Among these young actors is the beautiful Marian Braeme, the target of poor Lawrence Beaman's affections and the widowed Lady Rosedale's motherly attention. One night, when the Lady's jewels go missing, suspicions are cast over Lawrence and a mystery begins to unfold.
