Om The Fortress Brigantine
Notorious Al Capone ruled Chicago in the 1920s and 1930's during the heyday of Prohibition. Making, transporting, and distributing illegal liquor earned him and his mobsters millions of dollars, even in those days. Murder, bribery of the police and judges, and terror with his own baseball bat marked Capone as ruthless.
But other gang leaders wanted to take over his turf, and he was a target of assassination. Fleeing for a time, he set up his unique liquor sales empire in the Pinelands of New Jersey to reach lucrative New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York markets. Was he successful?
You bet he was, but you will be surprised at how he established his new business, and the fortress hotel and casino he ran it from in the seaside town of Brigantine.
