The Grammar of Names

The first systematic account of the syntax and semantics of names. Draws on work in philosophy and linguistics, in order to examine the distribution and subcategorization of names within a framework of syntactic categories, and to consider how the morphosyntactic behaviour of names connects to their semantic roles.
