The Great Pesedjet of Iunu

The following stories come from Iunu, an ancient section of modern day Cairo. Here the oldest version of the Kemetic creation story was found. This mythos not only helped them explain the universe and how it came into being, but it also gave them the origins of the Pharaoh and the divine duty to protect order from chaos. These stories come directly from the Pyramid Texts, writings on sarcophagi and tombs, papyrus scrolls, and the Book of the Dead. This book includes Zep Tepi (The First Time), The Murder of Wesir, and The Contendings of Heru and Set.
