The Northern Counties Collection features talented writers and poets from Lancashire, Yorkshire, Durham and Northumberland. This wonderful anthology, featuring some really engaging writing, celebrates these counties, their magnificent landscapes, the inhabitants and their local dialects. Writing dialect is a challenge and there are some excellent examples. This is a book that will be appreciated by those who know these areas and a gentle introduction to those who are unfamiliar.
