The year is 2029. Environmental toxins, industrial waste, harmful dioxins, and biological and chemical warfare have rendered Earth's atmosphere uninhabitable. All unsupported plant life and domestic and non-domestic animals perish. Humans must survive in oxygen enriched domiciles and wear specially designed portable oxygen units.With high demands for fresh air, oxygen supplies are being depleted at a rapid rate. Uprisings, revolutions, and rebellions are commonplace all over the world. Dr. Sigurd Gulbrandsen, genius scientist and head of The Global Environmental Institute, is the mastermind behind Oasis. A scientific and technological wonder, Oasis is a weather machine designed to create chemically treated rainwater. She is believed to be mankind's last hope for survival.Dr. Amy Green is part of an international team of scientists dedicated to making sure the Oasis project is a success. But when a corrupt government seizes control of Oasis and launches her prematurely, the results prove to be catastrophic. Now Amy, along with a team of Earth's greatest minds, must find a way to shut Oasis down and put an end to the ravenous, mutated creatures, whose numbers increase just as steadily as the rising rainwaters, before time runs out.
