The Shogunate

The Shogunate is a philosophical book exploring the author's thoughts on gene theory, migration and cultural development using Japan as a backdrop.
We are introduced to the fictional Gloria de Silva Chakra, who travelled to Japan in the 17th century as a narrator and case study of the multi-culturalism of the human race and a link to the first shogun of Japan.
Spanning from the 17th century through to the Hiroshima bomb, with interludes into 80,000 BC this is an ambitious read, blending, science, history and fiction.
