How could something so powerful, so valuable to the Jewish people just drop off the face of the earth without a trace? How could it just vanish from the pages of history for over 2,500 years? It was something that was the main focal point of the Jewish faith. It was the Mercy Seat of God, where God would come down to Earth, where only the High Priest was allowed to come into God's presence. This most Holy of holies just vanished from the Temple where it was supposed to be secure. How could that happen without even a clue? thought Dr. Lucas Da'vid, a Biblical history professor at a small Southern college.
