The massive westward expansion needed beef, and so the American cowboy had to deliver. The
promise of land and gold drove thousands in that direction, people from all over the world.
With little or no law enforcement in vast remote areas, people could easily choose the extreme
side of morality. A few in comparison, walked its razor edge.
