Tinker's Tale

Tinker's tale is the story of one man's search for himself, for his roots and how he belongs in the world when what he has done all his life is turned upside down. It happens as he fosters a tiny child he finds by the side of a road in one of his wandering fixer journeys; as he raises her he introduces both her and us to his beautiful world. His life brings encounters with other gifted people, some who trust and help him and become a part of his life, and some who see him as outcast because of his lifestyle or the color of his skin.
Over the course of time, Tinker finds a lover with two older children of her own, whom he will eventually marry and bring home to his own place. He will have to place his daughter, Riann, in the healer school of her grandfather's choosing, because he is "only" a wandering fixer who has not been allowed to adopt her. Eventually, he will seek out his own past, buried under traumatic memory, and find love and peace with a family he never knew he had.
The story is also the story of his children, Riann, his wife's older children, and the two he has with his wife, and watching those children grow up and grow into their own.
