Until it happened to me

"Until It Happened To Me" is a collection of poems
that tell the story of Daphne, a plus sized, black
woman-as she navigates through finding and
losing love in a society that isn't fond of her body
type. "Be anything you want to be, just don't be me,"
is the tone that she sets with her style of poetry. In
the end, she decides that perhaps love isn't meant for
her, but who knows? Maybe she'll come in contact
with someone who can make her change her mind
