In the aftermath of the Vietnam War, a sailor searches for belonging. Carrying the burden of wreckage from the war, unable to go home to Wisconsin where he is wanted for a crime he committed on graduation night, he sets out on a journey of self-discovery. Over the course of many years, he travels across continents, looking for a safe and welcoming place. But not everything is as it appears, and the key to his quest may be found back in Vietnam, with the woman in whose arms he sought comfort.
