We Rise is a rich collection of stories that truly celebrate the mountaintops and share the valleys of the African American woman's experience; highlighting her moments of strength, as well as her struggles.
In centering Black women's stories, the unique ability to make their own communities while combating centuries of oppression is an essential component in our continued resistance to systemic racism and sexism.
We Rise shines light on the United States' undeniable truths far beyond a single narrative to showcase Black women's lives in all their complexities.
