Wealtheow

Inspired by John Gardner's Grendel, Wealtheow is a fresh take on an old monster.
Plucked from the village to be his next bride, King Hrothgar sequesters a young Wealtheow in Heorot, a formidable mead hall. He underestimates the strength in her heart once love takes hold. This novel is comprised of words rooted in Anglo-Saxon (Old English) to tell a tale rich in Beowulf lore that will delight the ear as well as the soul.
