Om Win or Lose!
When you get to that point, this is what happens, right? Okay, so it goes like this. So, the story is this. We create a strong feeling. We tell the story with a strong value. For instance, your sister let you down on purpose, she purposely disrespected you. Your boss double checks your work because they don't trust you. Yet, your coworker gets the raise who does absolutely nothing. Isn't that unfair? Or doesn't that create emotions to make you feel like you've been done unfair? The neighbor that you got in the car with which drove too fast because she did not care about your safety. She had touched the sacred grounds of your emotions that you value. You become quite upset and have a lot of strong feelings.
Those strong feelings have created a weak mind. If you're going to deal with your own emotions, you must deal with your story first. How do you deal with the story in order to change the outcome? This is it. Now listen to the second story that I tell. My sister let me down on purpose, but I gave her a hug anyway and told her that I loved her. My boss double checks my work because I'm not trustworthy to her. When she checks my work she finds everything in place and done efficiently and on time. So, I smile at her. Although I am angry that my boss checks my work, I'm determined to make people better even when I'm angry. My neighbor is driving way too fast so I very nicely say can you slow down just a bit for safety purposes? Instead of me being mad, my neighbor is now mad because they had to slow down. Although my adrenaline has kicked in, my strong feelings have now become a strong mind and my feelings are not as hurt based on the methods that I used to change the circumstance.
