A little girl full of dreams sinks into sleep as her mother whispers a fairy tale to her ear-a woman who leaves everything behind and travels to Budva. An orphan who lives in Osijek with his uncle dreams of becoming a world-famous writer. A beautiful woman finds out she's pregnant. A football player has been sending letters for decades to the so-called 'Mr. Smith'. Is it possible that these people -on their paths in different time periods- are connected?

31 Fields is a journey through several time periods and stories. This contemporary novel draws the reader into the world of its characters playfully, at times triumphantly, but also with a handful of pain. The characters and their stories are connected and intertwined through a paradoxical motive -photos of 31 football (soccer) fields- resonating in eternity.
